Our mission is to teach country dancing with a strong emphasis on technique and tradition, ensuring that every dancer, from beginner to advanced, can find community and grow as dancers. What is line dancing?
Line dancing is a style of dance where individuals perform choreographed steps in lines or rows without a partner. It’s a fun and social way to dance to country, rock, and pop music.
Can I drop in for a class, or do I need to sign up in advance?
For most of our workshops and classes, you can drop in, but pre-registration is encouraged to guarantee your spot and save money.
What is country partner dancing?
We use "country partner dancing" as an all-encompassing term because we teach multiple styles, including country two-step, country swing, triple two-step, partner line dances, and more. These styles are danced with a partner, but you don’t need to bring one to class unless otherwise stated.
Can I book Blackout Country Dancing for a bachelorette party, birthday party, or corporate event?
Yes! We offer group dance lessons for private events, including weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and bachelorette parties. Let us bring the country fun to you! Click here to inquire about bookings.
Do I need a partner for partner dance lessons?
No! Unless it is explicitly stated in the class description (and it will be quite obvious), you do not need to bring a partner. We rotate partners during lessons to ensure everyone gets a chance to dance.
